How MultiLine handles dialing short codes

Read on to learn about how MultiLine handles short code numbers.

Overview

  • MultiLine handles short code numbers (7 digits or less) by directly routing them to the native dialer.
  • Keypad logic will prevent incorrect country code addition to short codes and emergency numbers.

Before you start

  • MultiLine supports calling over cellular and data. Learn more at Set Calls for Data/Minutes/WiFi Only.
  • MultiLine administrators can restrict the calling modes available to you according to company policy. You will only be able to use calling modes that are enabled by your administrator.

By default, the country code will appear before the shortcode as you are dialing. However, once you press the call button, you will see a confirmation message to call the number without the country code appended.

Calling short codes on Data mode
