We are extending WhatsApp Capture capabilities on Movius work numbers. This release will have broader coverage of message types and attachments, improving compliance and visibility for enterprise communications.
Currently, WhatsApp Capture supports archiving of the following WhatsApp content types:
- Text messages
- Group messages (currently captured as one-on-one records)
- Images: PNG, JPG
- Emojis and GIFs
Expanded File Attachment Support
We’ve extended our archiving capabilities to include advanced file types commonly used in WhatsApp Business and Consumer apps:
- DOCX
- CSV/XLS
- PPT
- TXT
- EML
- MP3
- MOV
- 3GP
- JPG
- PNG
- GIF
MIME Type Support
The following MIME types are now archived:
- Voice Notes
- Video Notes
- Location (captured as geographical coordinates in text)
- Contact (VCF format)
- Camera Photos & Videos
- Emoji, Stickers, Avatar, Reactions (captured as individual records)
- Deleted Messages
- “Delete for me” events are captured
- “Delete for everyone” events are not captured
- Polls are captured but responses not captured
- Events are captured but edited events not captured
- URLs
Access & Offload Options
- Archived files and MIME types are available for download via the Movius Management Portal (MMP) by administrators. Please note attachments are not viewable directly in the portal.
- Customers can also offload archived content using:
- APIs
- SMTP
- SFTP
Additional Notes
- Text + attachments are stored as two separate records
- Broadcast messages and live location sharing are not captured
- Catalogs are not captured
