This is the content for m-Connect Chat Version 1.0.8 planned for December 2025. Release planned on Dec 14, 2025.
What's New
The m-Connect Chat application has been updated to effectively manage the new types of attachments and MIME formats introduced in Version 3.5.0 of the MultiLine Messaging application. This update ensures that the app remains compatible with the latest entitlements for WhatsApp, WeChat, and LINE, allowing users to maintain seamless messaging experiences across these platforms.
Social Messaging Entitlement Separation
As part of this update, the entitlements for WhatsApp, WeChat, and LINE have been separated. Users who do not have the appropriate entitlements for a specific messaging channel will be unable to send or receive messages on that channel. This means, for example, that only users enabled for WhatsApp can participate in WhatsApp conversations, and the same rule applies to WeChat and LINE.
Going forward, message sending capabilities on each channel are strictly governed by assigned entitlements. In group message scenarios, only MultiLine users who are enabled for a specific channel will be available for selection as participants. Users not enabled for a particular channel will not appear in the group participant list.
Platform-level changes supporting this feature were deployed in release 4.57.1. Further details can be found in platform release notes.
WhatsApp Attachment Support
In this version of the application, support for image attachments continues. However, the new attachment types introduced with MultiLine Messaging Version 3.5.0 are not available in m-Connect Chat 1.0.8. The app will display an error message for any inbound or outbound attachments that are not supported.
Additionally, within group messages, the participant search is limited to MultiLine users enabled for the respective channel. Users not enabled for a specific channel will be excluded from the group participant list.
The platform changes enabling these features were included in release 4.57.1. Please refer to the Release Notes for more comprehensive information
